Half Mile Race

The race was swum on 10 June 2026.
What a morning at the iconic Tooting Bec Lido — the largest outdoor pool in the UK, and a brilliant venue for open water swimming London has to offer!
The clouds had other ideas early on, but the rain kindly cleared just in time for our swimmers to gear up and dive in. The race kicked off sharply, with everyone starting three quarters down the pool, swimming to the shallow end and powering through 8 more laps of the clear, welcoming water.
The sun lit up what was already a fantastic atmosphere. Our London masters swimming finishes ranged from a brilliant 12:06 from our quickest swimmer through to 19:04, with every single finisher deserving a massive round of applause.
We're already buzzing for our next distance swimming events London has on the calendar: the One Mile race on 8th July. See you poolside!
